Giving What We Can Pledge Drive

Princeton Effective Altruism is proud to announce that we are running a pledge drive for Giving What We Can this Thursday and Friday. (Feb. 15-16) Giving What We Can is an organization of people who have pledged to give 10% of their income each year to the charities that do the most good (or 1% of spending money for students and unemployed).

By donating just a small portion of your income, you can save lives globally, while still bringing home more income than 99% of the world. For example, the Against Malaria Foundation distributes life-saving insecticide-treated bednets for $4/net—and saves a child’s life for every 1000 nets distributed. Giving What We Can recommends you donate to the AMF or other highly effective charities.

You can join Giving What We Can as a full member, or you can try giving for less of a commitment, choosing exactly how much you want to donate and how long you want to give for.

Stop by our table at Frist 100 level on Thursday and Friday this week from 2pm to 10pm to learn more and grab cookies and laptop stickers!
