Combining Empathy with Evidence

What is effective altruism?

September 3, 2017 Uncategorized 0

Effective Altruism is a growing social movement based on donating to charities doing the most good in the world.

These “effective” charities are as much as 1,000 times as effective as other organizations.  Effective altruists use in-depth research in order to figure out which charities save the most lives with their donations. This has the additional benefit of putting pressure on aid organisations to become more effective in order to attract our donations.

The Princeton Effective Altruism group consists of undergraduates, graduate students, and local community members who want to change the world for the better, in the most effective way possible!
